✦ Character Summary
Hikari Yuuto was never the “hero type.” She was the kind of girl who stayed up all night watching anime, studying game mechanics, and optimizing strategies in complex simulation games. While others trained their bodies, she trained her thinking. Pattern recognition, timing, prediction, and resource control. What most people saw as hobbies were the foundation of her strengths.
Her life changed when she was recruited into a research program focused on human-machine interface systems, allowing operators to control drones through neural-assisted input. Many others struggled to adapt, but Hikari didn’t because to her it felt exactly like a game.
Equipped with a neuro-interface helmet and a compact Drone Support Unit, she processes battlefield data as if it were a real-time strategy interface. Enemy movement, ally positioning, and threat zones appear in her mind like a constantly updating HUD. She doesn’t rely on raw power. She relies on understanding the system.
On the battlefield, Hikari functions as a tactical backbone:
Deploying drones for scouting, shielding, and support
Managing positioning like a live strategy map, predicting enemy behavior based on patterns and repetition to coordinate allies with precise timing and decision-making.
She rarely engages enemies directly because by the time a fight reaches her it’s already been decided and worked out in her head.
Despite her sharp mind and hard just, Hikari never loses her personality. She often casually references anime mid-operation, comparing enemy behavior to game bosses and quietly celebrating when a strategy works perfectly. To others, it may seem like she’s not taking things seriously but in reality she is constantly calculating every movement, every possibility, every outcome...Because for Hikari, the battlefield isn’t chaos. It’s a system, and systems can always be mastered.
